What’s Cooking, Good Looking? It’s Newsletter O’Clock

Get ready to jazz up your inbox with updates and industry insights that'll make your neurons do the Cha-Cha Slide. 🕺🕺🕺

No Conformity is here to report your weekly news! Music, Pop Culture, and Social Media have been interesting in the month of June, to say the least. Between fans BEGGING Normani and her team to give them more content celebrating the release of her highly anticipated debut album, Kendrick “freeing the slaves” with his Juneteenth pop out, and Victoria Monet popping out on a Tuesday morning with the SURPRISE VIDEO OF THE YEAR, the tea is overflowing!

But before we get into that, we have some exciting tea of our own to spill!

No Conformity Celebrates: Jasmine Just Joined the Gang!

Jasmine Tucker

Break out the confetti cannons! We've nabbed Jasmine Tucker to elevate our Client Services game. She's officially the first hire at No Conformity, joining as our Head of Client Services! This is step uno in our master plan to become THE place everyone wants to work at. Go on, send her some love!

While you’re at it… slide this job description to anyone you know trying to get their start in the music industry and wants some hands-on experience:

Wanted - Social Media Intern Who Can Out-Tweet a Canary

We're scouting for our next masterpiece, a social media intern who's got more game than a console. If you know someone who memes well with others and considers hashtags a second language, point 'em our way!

'Hello, Is It Tea You're Looking For?'

Okay, now BACK TO THE TEA 🫖

After years of anticipation, did you guys think Normani’s album lived up to the hype? Personally, it gagged me how Victoria dropped her “Alright” music video that same week and the internet was talking about that more than Little Miss Pop Star’s DEBUT ALBUM. The crazy thing is the music is BEAUTIFUL, amazing production… Tantrums ft. James Blake has a CHOKE HOLD ON ME! I mean, there’s still time to do a Bankhead choreo video for Candypaint or a new track. As we can see from his work on the “Alright” video, QUALITY MUSIC VIDEOS ARE BACK BAYBEE! With the success of “Wild Side,” I thought that would have been a no-brainer for this album release, but I digress…. Anyway...

Album Releases That Slap

Tems, Aryaa Star, Kaytranada, Normani, and Kehlani have already dropped albums, and Meg Thee Stallion is closing out the month with her album release this Friday. WITH ALL THAT NEW MUSIC, it’s hard to digest it all, but BABY, WE ARE FULL & wanna know what y'all think?! Do y'all feel like Kaytranada’s album is getting the spotlight it deserves? Cause that’s the theme track to my summer! Personally, I can’t keep Kehlani’s album off repeat… she showcases her eclectic taste and party side, and we’re HERE FOR IT!

Real Hot Girl ishhh!!!

POP OUT WITH THE NEWS!!!

🎤 Kendrick Lamar Drops Jaws on Juneteenth

Kendrick said, "Imma make it look sexy," and boy, did he deliver! Popping out on Juneteenth, Kung Fu Kenny turned history into his-story. That performance is now etched in Black culture and pop music like your ex's initials in a tree trunk. Unforgettable. Someone said that was the best Juneteenth since the first one, and WHERE IS THE LIE?!

Good luck and Godspeed as we head into BET weekend. May the party odds be ever in your favor!

Stay tuned for more updates and keep the vibes high. Until next time, keep breaking boundaries and making waves with No Conformity!

Cheers,

The No Conformity Team
